Caterina Fake co-founded Flickr, almost certainly the best photo sharing company in the world, and Hunch, which developed foundational AI algorithms to power recommendations and was acquired by eBay. She served as Chairman of Etsy (NASDAQ:ETSY), and serves on the board of The Sundance Institute, Public Goods and McSweeneys. Prior to Yes VC she was Founder Partner at Founder Collective (early investors in Uber, Pillpack, Buzzfeed and others). She is an investor in Etsy, Kickstarter, Cloudera, Blue Bottle Coffee and many other companies.

Jyri Engeström co-founded Jaiku, a mobile social network acquired by Google; and Ditto, a recommendations app acquired by Groupon. He is an early investor in Unity (NYSE:U), Oura, Iceye and many other companies. Prior to co-founding Yes VC with Caterina he was on the investing team at True Ventures (early investors in Peloton, Ring, WordPress and others).

David Pickerell grew up in Hong Kong and attended Harvard, where he was President of the Harvard China Forum. He worked at Uber, where he set up Uber’s Las Vegas operation, and Nauto, where he helped raise $159 million in investment from Greylock and Softbank. He is Co-Founder & CEO of Yes VC portfolio company Para, building a better gig economy. David is an investor in OneSignal, Vori, Avenue8, and others.

Julie Liao was COO at Google spinout Coord and worked on the Finance & Operations team at True Ventures. She is the Founding member of the CxO community and was responsible for FP&A and BizOps at Namely (Sequoia, Matrix). At EY, she supported corporate clients on transactions. Julie is a UC Santa Barbara graduate and went to Taipei International School, and is an investor in AssemblyOSM and others.
